Rick Pidcock was raised in the wildly oppressive IFB/IBLP world and did his best to adhere to all the restrictions enforced. No regular music with the so-called “sex beat.” No movies. No fun or any celebration of humanity. But his intellectual and artistic curiosity made him question the teachings, making dorm life at BJU unbearable. Through thoughts and questions, Rick found his way out of that faith and out of church altogether. He writes for Baptist News Global and is the primary caregiver of his five kids. [corrected- Scott wrote three kids]
