Two years ago, Jeff Karow messaged me, telling me he enjoyed listening to Chapel Probation. I was thrilled to meet him and learn that someone in Arkansas was part of the Chapel Probation family. After a few messages, I learned that Jeff had a story to tell, and his episode brought a lot of laughs and a lot of tears. People wrote in, expressing their well-wishes. I’ve kept in touch with Jeff over the years, so I brought him back on to give an update of his life. Things were pretty dire at the end of the episode two years ago, and I’m happy to report that things have improved.
Jeff recalls one more shitty example of the culture at Moody Bible Institute and then gives insight into the complexities of maintaining family relationships during and after deconstruction. It hasn’t been easy, but Jeff is definitely on the right track.
