After almost 150 episodes of deconstruction-centered conversations, I thought it would be cool to hear from Mike to talk about the power of language. For people deconstructing faith, figuring out who we are outside of church and fundamentalism can be tough. But people like Mike Sonksen help us find our voices and see the world. In church we saw the world through fearful eyes, always on guard for something evil to lure us away from our bland, sterile lives. But looking through the eyes of a poet can help us see the nuances, the beauty, and the truth all around us.
